End of internship
Tomorrow marks the end of my internship.
:(
Somehow i felt emo about it.
In a blink of an eye,1 and a half months has just passed. and i'm returning to my usual routine next Monday.
I am really glad that I landed into this company, though initially i felt unjust by the way they select their internship students. But I managed to prove my capability to them and one foremost important point: SIM students are equally as good as local students.
I am gonna miss crapping with my intern mates and talking to my superior aka mentor.
I must really thank my mentor for teaching me along the way, teaching me many marketing related stuffs and chatting me since we were sitting beside each other. I feel that she taught me many valuable knowledge, she makes me yearn for more marketing practices. She's someone who is so enthusiastic about marketing, much greater passion than me.
Today I gave an informal presentation to my GMs, HR manager and my superior. I gave a very casual presentation, adding elements of singlish and jokes. But i was so afraid that i am too casual for Japanese :x
In return they gave me a certificate for internship participation and taka voucher (i cant say how much :p).
thank you so much!
During this internship, i had great partners to handle all the sandstorms and thunderstorms in the company. Seriously, if they are taking marketing in SIM, i will switch to their team :x. hehhhh. not say my current projectmates are incompetent or what. Smelly, khai wan, edward, yunjun and me, when we formed together, we are formidable :D . but just that these intern mates complement with me so well. Well, at least i need not lead all the time, we simply take turns and we 3 have very different personalities.
their Starbucks donuts for my birthday
Wendy is a very organised and mature person. It's good that she's my teammate since i can be pretty messy at times, and my thoughts can be very disorganised. She gives much more mature perspective when i seek opinions from her. A very nice lady :). Although she's a Japanese Studies major, she has the making of a marketer. At least she thinks like us.
Eric, well i am much closer to him compared to wendy. probably because we shared our personal issues together on the way home, and i knew him during essay competition. He likes to crap a lot and sometimes can be quite emotional for a guy. I often argue with him about marketing concepts(because his school exams are all open-book! WTH! life is so unfair) since he couldnt remember any of it.
Eric's drawing for me. to think he could remember what i said to him.
I feel that June is a very enriching and pleasant for me. Many positive and happy incidents happened within my birthday month. I somehow felt very blessed that i have gained many tangible and intangible benefits/perspectives/variables(well whatsoever).21 years old doesnt seem so bad afterall :).
Tomorrow will be my last meeting with the branch managers. I gonna miss my internship :(

Reflection
1. The past week i've been going out. I didnt even know what i was doing. lol. Almost everyday after work i was hanging out with my friends, just to catch up with them. I doubt i will have much time to spend with them once i start school :(
2. my results were out last week. Not too bad for this semester; I thought my Business Ethics and Marcom couldnt make it.
Last semester was really a totally mess; i really hate 8.30am classes(and i'm still complaining despite living in Clementi!) and doing projects after lectures. always feel like sleeping during those discussions(see projectmates! how hard i worked :P) but have to stay awake because deadlines were haunting us. during exam break, i literally had only 2 weeks to whack those 4 horrible modules, and sleeping late became a norm, with green tea or yang sen accompanied me throughout those nights. I was really glad that i could pull through this semester.
3. Work. well, still the same. but i learnt alot along the way. last week presented research to the business client; made me feel so stressed and nervous. I think its much worse than presentation seriously.
i tried to extend my internship period but wasnt successful because i can only commit half a day and there are complications with the finance and HR side. So well, i will end my intern by the end of this month. kinda miss the company and colleagues though :(. my superior is super cute; she made a T_T sign to me. hahaha
Hopefully more pleasant things coming up!
