Reflections:

1. Finally AMCA CA1 to 4 was passed up to Jeffery on Sat! we were all so desperate to clear this stupid assignment up. somehow i have a hunch feeling that we wouldnt be able to score really well for this project. Things were done in an utter rush; last minute realised executive summary wasnt done, report wasnt justified and there were no time or rather, no free person to check the whole thing one last time.
somehow this assignment taught me something, and i promised to myself that i wouldnt do it again. do things within one's boundaries would be good enough; who bothers if one goes the extra mile?

2. Went out 3 times this week - great sense of satisfaction. Due to commitment to projects and school work, i simply do not have much time to dedicate some time to myself. Love the bodyshop warehouse sales, Schu's discounts on their shoes, and forever21 retail therapy! I am really broke this time round(but i promise to save $$$ and not shop for the remaining months till May), but retail therapies and impulsive purchases made my day, especially after a day of project. It's definitely an expensive de-stress method, but its effective!

3. had a birthday celebration for my little cousin Vanessa together with my other cousins Jaime and Kelly today. Watched Alice in a Wonderland, lunch at Iciban Sushi and dinner at Crystal Jade Hongkong Cafe. I love spending time with my cousins, since they are so close to me.

while walking back home, i've decided that more time should be spent with my family. Typically, 3/4 of my day is spent with my projectmates. When i got back home, i would eat dinner, bathe and start chionging on projects again. hardly i have time to talk to my piggy brother or catch up with my other cousins.

may be i shouldnt think too much and start focusing on my priorities.

What one desire most may not be what one needs most.

I just spoke to one of my friends on the phone about some choir matters. after telling her my plan, i felt pretty scheming.

my gosh, i was really surprised with my mentality. i could really think from a different perspective that others wouldnt thought of. i wouldnt think of it optimistically. sometimes i feel, thinking too complicatedly makes you worse off. or may be may be, because i could analyse the situation better than others.

i do agree circumstances shaped me for who i am. my values, and beliefs are all affected by my experiences.

i did a personality test given by my friend's lecturer. you may try it: it is the Belbin Team Inventory. I scored equal points for the following personalites:

Shaper
The shaper is a task-focused leader who abounds in nervous energy, who has a high motivation to achieve and for whom winning is the name of the game. The shaper is committed to achieving ends and will ‘shape’ others into achieving the aims of the team. He or she will challenge, argue or disagree and will display aggression in the pursuit of goal achievement. Two or three shapers in a group, according to Belbin, can lead to conflict, aggravation and in-fighting. Some shapers often also believe in god.(wikipedia, 2010)

okay, ignore the last sentence.

analysis: there's no leader in my project groups, but i DO listen to my groupmates when they have wonderful ideas. Dont i(even though i am stubborn at times)? :D i like to put words into actions. This quote practically speaks the style i work with: I had rather do and not promise than promise and not do. ~ Arthur Warwick.

Teamworker
A Teamworker is the greasy oil between the cogs that keeps the machine that is the team running. They are good listeners and diplomats, talented at smoothing over conflicts and helping parties understand each other without becoming confrontational. The beneficial effect of a Teamworker is often not noticed until they are absent, when the team begins to argue, and small but important things cease to happen. Because of an unwillingness to take sides, a Teamworker may not be able to take decisive action when it is needed.(wikipedia, 2010)

actually i think i'm better off as a teamworker; well at least i received compliments from my superior/s :D

my friend's lecturer used this personality test to distribute her class into groups. A shaper/coordinator would be the team leader and the rest of the personalities are equally distributed into various teams.

woohooo, i am a good team worker and leader :D

but sometimes, i can be tired of leading. If there's no one to initiate, it will always going to be me, because i am the kan-chiong spider. I dislike things that are not done when deadlines are approaching or when nobody's going to do something about it.

it seems to apply to me in most situations, in school, and non-school related matters.

I would really love to take the backseat one day and just tell others "i am just doing my job". perhaps that would only happen when i work.

Perhaps i should learn how to slack, and RELAC one corner. hahaha.

maybe maybe, i am too overloaded with tons of projects, that i forgot how to relax and have fun.

recently, another friend of mine told me my flaws(because i told him to do so after i've told him his). and i do agree to some of the characters he listed. not all my close friends are willing to tell me, even friends for more than 4 years wouldnt tell me much.

Thank you MJ for being so truthful :D. BFF!

okay back to reality.

My cousin has finally launched the blogshop!

http://thebagposse.wordpress.com/

We are selling Coach and Kate Spade bags at affordable prices and definitely wayyyy cheaper than retail stores here! Kate Spade wristlets that are available in Singapore are sold exclusively at our blogshop. Check it out if you're interested and do spread the word for me :)

(no obligations, of course.)

Thebagposse is somewhat like my fruit of labour; i helped my cousin to conduct market research(thank yousss to all my SIM mates who are interviewed!) and checked customers' taste and preference.I hope it will be successful though, we intend to do it long-term. I didnt take money from my cousin(see i'm not money-faced); all i wanted was having fun in marketing the products, to be able to apply some knowledge and concept into the business.

recently, i applied internship from the school and i got it successfully. well, much faster than the deadline given. Its either there's too few students applying or i'm wayyy too good :D.

anyways, i've applied for JTB, a travel agency that specialises in Japan tours. school has to select 20 students based on their command of english language and academic results. then the selected ones will have to write an essay about the company. if its well-written, some monetary incentives will be given. this friday will be office visit. hopefully i can learn something along the way and make new friends :)

too many things to be done seriously. my mind, table and schedule have been messed up. Rarrrhhhh.
