i really like how they themed this song into this MTV, and the monochromatic effects too.
for now,
it is a study period for me, preparing for various tests, and 2 more days will commence our very first test of the semester.
these few days had been hectic for me, especially if i have many participation in hand.
my ultimate frisbee coach has select me to take part in IVP on the 21st March and 28th March. he expects us to train on Saturdays, which coincidentally falls on the timing i have my law lectures. but after negotiations by my captain, they allow me to just train on thursday and still take part in IVP.
before the selection, i had some hesitations actually. eugene actually announced this IVP last year during December, and i didnt really train hard for it, because i would not be selected.
early this year, i had thoughts of moving to my other interests. not say that i have changes my interests fast, but sometimes its the company that counts. many factors has contribute... for now i'm going to push this problem aside and focus on my tests first.
thanks to my dear teammates who have supported me throughout this hectic period. :)

La Nonna
i fell in love with this restaurant when i had my dinner with Patricia.
Patricia, why arent you a guy seriously!
when i stepped into the restaurant, it was pretty empty. it is not the usual restaurant that you will people crowding there, but rather people engaging in serious conversation, or couples wanting to enjoy the comfortable and romantic ambience.
you see, we are neither here nor there. i kinda felt awkward since it doesnt seem too appropriate to enter. but still, since its Patricia's sister recommendation(her sister went with few of her friends), we decided to try it out.
sadly, these photos are taken from the internet as i did not bring my camera on that day. what a waste :(
after you have settled down and ordered your food, they will serve you with a basket of bread, lightly toasted, together with a sauce of vinegar and olive oil. really, it's that heavenly, if you're really pretty hungry that time. such appetizer is pretty common in most italian restaurants. some of their daily specials written down
we ordered a glass of red wine for ourselves and a pizza for our main course. the crust is nicely roasted to its ultimate crispiness. compared to thick crust like the standard pizza, i prefer thin crust. somewhat i feel it takes skills for the chef to knead the dough, till it's thin enough to satisfy their customers' tastebuds and yet it can support the weight of their finest ingredients.
seriously, we embarrassed ourselves with our inadequate knowledge of wine. it seems like most of the customers ordered wine to go along with their meals, and we thought it would be appropriate to order as well. i wanted to order a particular red wine, but the waiter was recommending me another kind of wine. immediately i kind of dazed off, and my friend arent trying to salvage my situation! anyway, i decided to heed the waiter's choice of wine; i doubt he wouldnt be wrong anyways.
i would give thumbs up for their service. a waiter smiled and waited for us while we were scanning through the menu and replied to us in soft-spoken manner. what's more, he put the cloth napkins (is it call napkins?) for us, with our permission. after settling our bill, he would thanked us with a slight bow, and opened the glass door for us.
with a cozy ambience, italian music playing along, friendly waiters, yummy pizzas and pretty reasonable price for such restaurant, what more can you ask for?

Khai Wan's birthday:
we had usual practice; rushed to Bengawan Solo to get a cake for the birthday boy. seriously, Bengawan solo should give me a VIP card. and they should start creating new recipes otherwise i would be repeating flavours for the next birthday. haha.
Birthday Boy!
as planned, we headed to Fish and Co at the glass house
Guys(from left): Edward, Cao cao, Desmond, Khaiwan, MJ, Hengyi, Alan
Girls with Bday boy(from left): Khai wan, Joyce, me, Linnet, Li Tian, Hui Ying, Yun Jun, Lilian
Cao cao refuses to face to reality that he is 24 NOW.
these 2 'kids' too. muahaha.
i believe it is kinda an embarrassing moment to celebrate your birthday at fish and co. they force you to hold a sparkle and announce your birthday to the entire restaurant. haha. i dont know if Khai Wan feels embarrassed standing on the chair, but anyway, there were very little customers on that day, so it's isnt too bad after all.
spidey on the way
group photo!
tests coming up.
Rarrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!

Ultimate Invitationals @ Ulu Pandan:
i reached ulu pandan by 9am and apparently i was the earliest. i practiced my throws with dawn while waiting for my team.
Got an orange juice from Macdonalds; damn funny la, Ganesh made an announcement to all Frisbee members to come to the registration counter to get a cup of orange juice.
it's time for strategy!
shaking hands with the 1st team we played against
we won the ODAC's team. muahahaha, too bad for you desmond!
i really learnt alot from this invitationals. for the first time i became so hardworking for frisbee; i did research on fouls and enquired alot from dawn. i bet i will never do such things if i did not participate in the invitationals. because i had to teach my team, i made double effort to learn strategies on my own, so that everything would work out on the field.
and because of invitationals, i become more confident of my throws. i managed to catch most of the throws from my teammates when we play go-to-ultimate(football version of frisbee). it is really a sense of achievement for me :)
3 tests coming up. seriously i hate management accounting.

Li Tian's 21st Birthday
it seems like most 21st birthday parties are that glamourous as 21 years marks the reign of freedom.
at the age of 21, besides being able to watch R21 movies(muahaha), and not needing parents' signature when you sign the indemnity forms, i believe in the quality of 21 years represents;
maturity and responsibility of your own choice.
left to right: ME, Joyce, Cheryl
Cheers to our dear birthday girl!
our busy photographer
the guys(cao cao looked so gay)
gambling 21 points using monopoly notes. muahaha.
but we changed our fake notes to real money after the gambling session is over. i lost 70cents :(
with Li tian's big big birthday cake; seriously its yummy!
yesterday had a meal with Pat at Holland V. we went to a posh dining place and seriously we somewhat made a mockery of ourselves since we do not know how to dine at such exquisite and luxurious restaurant. we managed to smoke our way through though :) we chatted alot, since we haven met each other since the hongkong trip we went together before Christmas. i blurt out my thoughts to her since she is perhaps the only one whom i confide to.
have i found the purpose in my life?
perhaps; i am not ready yet.

Durian Puffs- Oh so good!
Really i've never tasted such wonderful durian puffs before.
i chanced upon 717 Trading at a particular coffee shop at Clementi West. (By the way, that coffee shop is sort of monopolised by a chi cha stall known as Bao Gong that sells damn good XO fishhead been hoon soup and my favourite San-lau horfun. the coffeeshop is always filled with customers and you need to wait for quite some time to get your seats)
the usual durian puffs have certain percentage of cream that is mixed with the durian. and that is why i prefer taking custard puffs rather than durian puffs; at least custard puffs do not mix cream with custard.
this durian puffs from 717 Trading are really puffs with substance; real and pure flesh of durian is stuffed into the puff. the moment you bite the puff, the durian fillings just oozed out from the puff, definitely they are very generous with their durian fillings. the sweetness of the durian just blends so well with the puff, and immediately you'll give thumbs up for such durian delight.
after eating one, you just cant stop.
no wonder my cousin can eat 6 puffs at one go when she needs to munch during her office hours.

Ultimate Week:
this is nuts.
and i am amazed with myself too.
i have been practicing my throws and playing damn lotsa scrimmage since Sunday.
here's my team elmo from Winter League:
and from Monday onwards, i went to school almost everday to practice my throws and at the same time to coach my team as well
nice shot taken by Desmond Yee:
Intensive training @ clinic
Omg, this is my first candid shot taken with the disc!
I played on Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and today. in total i played 5 days almost consecutively. thats' really crazy.
Today was Ultimate invitationals. played against the unstoppables(lead by Jowene and Lewis), ODAC(lead by Desmond and Joey) and Ganesh's team. we managed to get into quarter finals cos we lost to my coach's and captain's team. they are seriously tooooooo powerful.
Invitationals was really an experience for me; for the first time i was giving instructions to my team and not listening to instructions. for the first time i coach people and not my coach coaches me. its like making major decisions and scoring depends on the strategies i planned. my SIM teammates said that i was fierce and different when comes to teaching my team. i had to scream and shout during the matches since most of the members in my invitationals team are very inexperienced.
actually, i felt embarrassed in front of my SIM ultimate mates(and my coach was there too) when i was teaching them; i myself is not one of the better players in the SIM ultimate team. what rights do i have to teach my friends and tell them what to do?
i am badly shagged now; damn alot of blisters under my feet, sprained my right ankle, blue blacks on the edge of my palms and wrist area and sunburnt. Rarrrrrrrr.
thanks to Dawn for her priceless teaching moments and cheryl buddy for helping my team out :)
photos for invitationals after desmond yee has tag me :)

it seems like piles of work are waiting for me to clear off.
i feel stressed, or am i stressed? i never been overly stressed for a long time. the worst period was the A levels period, pimples were dominating my face.
Pimples are still trying to dominate my face but thank god its considered little compared to the past.
today, somehow i couldnt concentrate while driving in the circuit or on the road. i was exhausted despite sleeping for 8 hours. once i moved off, i made a terrible mistake. and from that time onwards, i forgot to do all the necessary movements that i had to made. even on the road itself i made all the silly mistakes.
arghhh. i felt so perturbed with myself that i was so confused all the time, and that my instructor had to calm me down in the car. i felt like an idiot because i couldnt perform like i used to. and the worst thing is, my instructor could remember me as his group student. with my sudden mood swings, i couldnt be bothered to smile and talk to my instructor.
never seen such Karen before right? :P
perhaps too may obligations and responsibilities drive me crazy.
sometimes i really hope to find some time for myself.
just give me one day to think nothing, sit at a cafe and sip my cup of coffee.
but will time wait for me?

now waiting for guests to come to my house to pai nian. my commercial law book was laid still at pg 86 since yesterday and has not been touched by any human beings since then. i thought that i would be able to read some yesterday but had to meet my relatives for post-reunion dinner. when now i have some time to dedicate myself to my law book, i realised i do not have the mood to read.
