i'm back blogging again. :)
i'm going to be damn packed for this week. i dont know why too. maybe because of many get-together activities and orientation stuffs going on.
i shall blog about shanghai trip in the next entry okay?
16th of June was my birthday. seriously, i didnt actually celebrate because i only touched down in singapore on the 15th so my friends couldnt really make a date. and my family never had a habit of celebrating each other's birthday(my parents are so evil).
ke min went to my house on my birthday and watched kongfu together. in the evening, i met up with my orientation group seniors for the first time in my life. haha. i dont know a single soul except for li ping. they were very friendly to me :). we ate at raffles city shopping centre food court and headed to mind cafe after that. we had a series of board games and SOUTH AFRICA(my og) was in the finals :p.

strategy game played by my mates

with my OGL, Jesline!
i played some dog and bone game which involves grabbing of bones and fast reaction. its a tie-breaker game which determines if our team will be in the finals. i felt the stress to win though my ogl didnt stressed us to win.they called me the best grabber; i seriously snatched the bone with another guy from the Argentina team. haha. its Obasan power!

with OG mates
the Spain team(sadly not my team) sang a birthday song for me. so touched. thank you kemin, siyuan and joyce(Spain OGL) for singing! :) it really feels good to have a bunch of people singing for you.
on the 17th, Pat and i went to central to celebrate my birthday.

clarke quay is really a beautiful place! it's really good for couples to date and for a bunch of good old budds to have a drink at any of the fascinating pubs there. pat and i promised to try the fashion bar someday. haha. it looks damn cool from the outside.

'
Patricia and me
my tuition kids really missed me alot; they were so enthusiastic when they greeted me on Wednesday. finally they have experienced the taste of bitterness when Miss Tay is not around. haha. the P3 kids are always giving me trouble. Argghhhh! cant they memorise their multiplication and be more hardworking for once?
i watched Act Smart with my South Africa seniors at Cineleisure. the movie is damn hilarious and stupid. haha! just watch it if u really need to laugh out loud.
on saturday was Acts Calibre Hot Wheels competition and ZA camp. i met my OG mates at macdonalds for breakfast. there were singles and doubles competition. Kezia and i were practising for our doubles. sadly, the double bicycle was spoilt. what the shit. i really want to cycle since i cant cycle on my own. haha. i need to learn!

Ke Min, Si Yuan and i left the competition and went to ZA camp at mana mana east coast.

the sea looks really clean from afar. but when its near, you can see packets of maggi mee and black stuffs there. maybe some rotten seaweed or oil drips.
then we started being kiddies for a while:

ke min and her breezy feel

Happy happy!

director siyuan

Jack and Rose: U jump, i jump!
here's the interior:

they taught us how to make up and promote their ZA products. finally we had our refreshments. and goodness, they were really generous with their food!

i really love their chicken drumlets. its damn crispy!
and finally, we had a dance instructor from amore to teach us a combination of hip hop and aerobics. seriously, i cant dance hip hop! and i was laughing like mad throughout the workout. none of us dared to stand in front of the male dance instructor. and suei suei, i'm standing in the centre and was in the 1st row, directly in front of the dance instructor. so paiseh! luckily i will never get to see him again otherwise it would so embarrassing!
yesterday had retail therapy with my cousin kelly and i spent about $133.70 on shopping! haha. had a little indigestion. blame on sakae sushi that i ate earlier for lunch./ at 1st i was feel hungry but i thought i could tolerate my hunger. weh nwe finally settle down at ramen teh at far east plaze, i was feeling nauseous. anyway. i dislike the taste of the gzoya that they made. it filled with too much garlic that i couldnt even take the next bite.
busy week for me! :)

I'm back from Shanghai! finally.
i will upload the photos here soon. :)
Shanghai is pretty cool and fascinating. besides Shanghai, we also went to Hangzhou, Suzhou and Wuxi, the nearby small towns.
despite descriptions of Shanghai as modern city, there are still the existence of the old-fashioned toilet drains.

i didnt take this picture of course. i took it from google images. this is really rural type of toilet. and some had no doors. i had to ask my mother to cover me so that i can use the toilet peacefully. haha. luckily only this kind of toilet appears in the suburban part of shanghai. in the city, the toilets are the standard ones.
the shopping is average and food is very oily and salty. unless you're those who loves branded goods but cant afford brands by LV, Coach, Chanel. you can go there and grab your imitation goods or the rejected goods(or known as
shui huo in chinese)
other than that, the weather there is cooling, and lightings are bright and colourful. things there are pretty cheap(
if you can bargain well) and fruits there are unique and sweet.

waxberries or
yang mei

crab xiaolongbao.
the straw is for you to drink their soup in the dumpling. cool right?
more posts about shanghai coming up :)

i'm quite sick of writing appeals and studying for my BTE. yes, i failed my BTE by 1 mark. seriously, i have no talent or flair(whatsoever) in driving. guess i shouldnt drive at all after i've gotten my license.
writing appeals is seriously very very irritating. i mean it irritates me. i dont really want to appeal; i'm quite satisfied with SIM. but i thought of giving it a try. no harm trying anyway. i've been rejected by all local universities. so it's okay for me to be rejected once again. may be i could get into my economics?? but thats like 0.00001%.
i'm envious of those getting into FASS; thats my dream faculty! i'm envious of those who can study threatre studies and sociology. sadly, i doubt i will have the chance to enter this artsy faculty. :(
my ex-tutor finally gave me a pay raise. haha. its $340 now! but still, i harbour the thoughts of quitting bring a tutor. it's really exhausting. i feel obliged to teach my kids since they have been with me for the past 5 months.
2 more days to shanghai! seriously i am not very excited about the 8 day trip.
cross my fingers that i will pass my evaluation tomorrow!

Peach cake for Mothers' Dayya, i didnt put enough peach to cover the ugly part. haha. nevertheless, it still tastes g0od!
cornflakes with chocolate coating;
great snack for little kids
McGriddlesthis sausage mcmuffin is a combination of sweet and salty flavours.
doesnt seem to suit my taste buds. i still prefer the original ones though.
from left: Ke Min, Chong Sian, Adha, Me and Karissa
with Evelyn :)
with Mr Liangyesterday went for classic Manicure and Pedicure with Ke Min. i like my
pink fingernails and toenails now. muahaha.
a bunch of choirmates and i headed to
NUS Yang Siew Toh Conservatory for Wild Empire's
Happening Happenings concert. the concert was pretty entertaining except for the 1st part which only classics were sang.
feel a little sad when i stepped in the territory of NUS; i wouldnt be studying in this school in the future :(
next baking session:
Chocolate Lava Cakemore pictures coming soon :)
