exams are finally over!! whee~

i hav a gut feeling tt i will not do my subjects well.. definitely.. no confident in any subjects tt i took.. duno why i took all these subjects:
maths- okay la, it has always been my fav subject.. i hope i will continue to excel well for math jus like how i did during my sec sch days.
econs- i took it for the sake of business..i wana major in business when i go to uni. but rite now, i'm struggling
phys- during 1st 3 mths, i was deciding between phy and chem.. cos i took combined sci. my grade for phy is c5 and chem is b4. however, i took phy becos i prefer phy to chem. initially i wanted bio cos i love bio so much but somehow this sch doesnt offer MBE. eventually for my os, i gotten an a2. phew.
geo- took it becos of human geo and i love human geo so much during sec sch days. now, i sux at every single topic in geo.. now i regret it. maybe i shld hav take lit. at least i took pure lit and gotten a b3 for my Os. arghhh!

perhaps i shldnt hav come here. i duno. wat am i doing man.. i myself dont even noe my choice...i'm pissed off with myself.. so indecisive! nvm.. i'll jus tolerate... 1 and a half yr to go. i can make it!
but because of my PAE class and choir, i'm partially unwilling to leave PJ. i love them so much.

anyway, i tink i did well for my gp.. at least it's above my expectation...thank god. today after phy lesson, my class went to bpp for mos burger treat! after tt we headed back to school for mr koh's lesson. he distributed all our papers back and went thru with us. after tt we took photos with mr koh..lotsa of cool photos! wahaha.. i gonna miss him soon.. cant bear to see him leaving s11.. tink he's a great gp teacher.. he's one of the few teachers tt taught me to look something from a diff angle..tts preety cool eh?

wonder if u all hav ever noticed something.. if u take a train while going home... dun find a seat and sit.. instead stand at a corner and observe the surronding.. jus focus on 1 row of seats tt's nearest to u.. wat do u see? as for me, i saw abt 2 elderly: 7 adults+ students. but tts not the main pt. sometimes when an elderly is standing up.. grabbing the metal pole, no one is unwilling to give up their seats until je interchange. sometimes feel kinda disappointed with sporean's attitude.

tmr meeting my sec sch buddies for gathering.. i didnt c them for a long time man..ok, got to rush off.. needa do PW for my gp cos the GPP IS WITH ME. "-_-

ONLINE! finally.

after 2 days of struggling with maths and econs.. finally i can take a break since the next exam is on thurs. i tink i screwed up my paper.. especially econs. sigh-
maths: when i flipped the page and attempt the 1st question, i completely stunned off.. cant do the next 3 questions subsequently.. in the other words, i cant do any of the 1st page qustions.. cos all r about graphs.. cant draw la. the rest still ok.. a little confused for some differentiation.

yesterday morning, when everyone was waiting for the national anthem to start, mrs yeo walked towards me and asked me,' karen ,wat did u do?' i was like, huh? wat did i do? i was confused. then she passed me a certificate of APPRECIATION. lolx. no la, she wont be tt kind to print such cert for me...its the school tt printed for me. after looking at the cert, i was still blur. wat did i do?
then mrs yeo asked if i had picked up a wallet or something.. then i recalled.. i picked up a PENCILBOX and report it to the lost and found. it happened like 3 mths ago.. when i was finding my file cos i lost mine too.. so when i found my file, a pencilbox was on my file.. so i jus passed it the office and taa-daa.. certificate of appreciation! haha.. the school is so sweet.. but actually aint tt necessary.. i mean, everyone will report lost items at lost and found rit?

last night slept at 1am to piah my econs.. cos i haven study NIA and wage theory..so i blast my way through.. ard midnight i called my buddy laura and chit-chat.. cant imgaine tt i still ahbe the mood to talk.. acutally both of us had econs today.. i wana ask her some stuffs but ended up chit chatting.. haha. we stopped our conversation at 12.40 and i quickly glance thru the notes and slept.
i'm sure tt i wil lose 12 marks for case study cos i cant draw graphs.. so ya, wait to die loh.

after tt, met my gd-old-buddies terence and teng and laura for lunch at je entertainement centre.. after lunch we went to upstairs to admire ppl ice-skating,.. there was this little angmoh boy learning how to ice-skate from a malay coach. he had very beautiful sharp features and i bet he will look damn handsome when he grows up.. he had long eye lashes! while he was skating, tyeng and i was talking about his features and how he skates in such a cute manner.. then he suddnely smiled at me! i duno wat happened to my hand.. somehow its a reflex action, i waved back to him! ohmigod, wat am i doing.. haha.. then he instantly blushed leh.. then teng was kinda jealous.. y he smiled at me instead of her.. so she tried to wave to him but he was kinda shy.. suddenly hid at a corner and talked to the coach.. and eventually.. he moved to a further distance. then this coach started to wave to us.. lol.. then iwaved back la.. otherwise very rude ma.. tink he knows we waved to the little boy. i wana take a photo of this cute boy.. but he's too far from me.! only i had his backview. haha.. rest assured tt i dun take a fancy on younger guys! and i aint a phenophile or somethin.. i'm perfectly normal.

ok.. gtg to go over to my ah ma hse for dinner.. cya!

i'm on heavy medication now... doc says its thorat infrction.. so she gave me a dosage of antibiotics and lotsa panadol.. then tohse normal medicine.. flu and sore thorat tablets. yuck.. hate swallowing those pills..!

time to update!

18/6: i skipped my tuiton and went for the sentosa performance instead. my mum said i was dumb to miss tuition cos academics is more impt than singing.. i beg to differ.. i rather sing than listen to my tutor talking.. besides i love to perform. waha. =)

karissa's sis and her frens and our choir seniors were there to support us!! such a pity the rest of the seniors were not there to cheer us on.. and my class..though i asked them to come..no response...maybe because of poh-poh..haha.. shawn came but not to support me!..he went down to support pauline...

the sentosa performance was awesome! haha..we initially thought tt not much ppl came cos only half of the place was occupied.. then ms toh told us about 1000 ppl came since the place can occupy about 2000 audience. cool. after tt when we were waiting for our bus to come, half of us boarded the 1st bus. thank god i took the 2nd bus, otherwise i wouldnt be so high! high as in feeling high la.. haha.. this enoch always like to play tricks on ppl such tt feli and i couldnt resist to beat him up! ha. on the bus all of us: azu, melody, feli, me, enoch, teng, gabriel, poh yee, keminm, si yuan and wingki were feeling ultra high.. we made a din on the bus.. we shouted, we screamed, we sang like nobody's business and most of us were completely out of our mind. we dun even care about the teachers who were sitting at the front.
after tt we proceeded to jurong pt for an ice-cream treat with the formation of new gang: feli, me, teng, enoch, gabriel, poh yee, wingki, xue lian and pauline. on the train, this stupid enoch was listening to the fun dane song and pauline, me and enoch were dancing the steps on the train. we hack the rest la. haha..

at jp, we ate ice-cream at anderson's.. wahaha.. while the 4 girls were enjoying our ice-cream, enoch stole our ice-cream limelight by dancing the DDR! he danced damn well la.. all of us were completely amazed by him.. be what SL.. aiyo.. be a DDR pro la! lolx.. he missed no steps except for the last stage.. but tt was gd enuf. all of the girls cheered and screamed for him.. as if we were his fans..haha
after tt, we went for mac treat.. in the end ate at mac.. wah sian.. why not eat at clementi in the 1st place? but anyway , we chit chat and ate enoch's and poh yee's twister fries. finally we went home. peace at last =).

19/6: woke up at 7.30am to go for phy consultation. after tt silvia and i went to jp(again) to catch a movie. we took our lunch at subway..the bread was yummy and the cookies was addictive.. i'm going to buy again..haha
we watched silent hill. the movie was scary and disgusting.. more of disgusting la..it feaked me out. silviva had her jacket to grab on..as for me.. i only had to hug my phy file for 'mental' support. haha.. i needa grab something everytime i watced a movie.. otherwise i feel weird. in the movie, the monster ripped of the girls' body into several parts and those freaking monsters when the siren was on were awfully frightening. anyway try to catch the movie.. its horrifying =).

i'm 17 now!!! lolx.

yesterday i woke up at 7am so tt i can meet joanna at 8am to do some choir stuffs. when i met her i passed her the birthday gift tt i bought for her(her birthday was on 9/6). and at the same time, she gave me my very 1st birthday cake of the day.. haha.. a simple chocolate cake.. enuf to bright up my day.. hhaaha.. and she gave me present too.. so sweet rit? then i asked her for the choir work and she told she jus wanted me to come earlier so tt she could celebrate my birthday..as a surprise for me.. thanks lots joanna! =) then we ate the chocolate cake together.. around 8.30am, i went for my phy lesson.

when i went upthe stairs with wen jie, shawn was the 1st to wish me..haha.. in my blog he's also the 1st.. so sweet la! haha..ok la.. wenjie can be counted as the 1st to wish since he saw me 1st in the morning..haha.. then those who came for phy lesson sang birthday song for me.. so sweet!! haha..
after phy lesson was consultation..while asking mr kow phy questions, choir was upstairs warming up their voices.. so it's jus some basic vocal training.. to me, it's not weird la.. cos it so basic or maybe i'm from choir.. but my classmates was makin fun of them.. haha.. ok la, they sounded awful earlier in the training..cos they hav not reached the singing voice. my classmates and fengrui especially tried to imitate them but not very successful..haha..
actually while they were trying to follow them, my conductress ms ong was upstairs conducting. she shouted to us if we wana join them or not.. apparently we didnt hear her shouting. wahaha.

after phy lesson went for choir practice.. yep, my choir gave me a surprise too.. after i was back from the toilet break, my conductress was telling, 'ok, sing this part again, nothing mortal shows. ready, 1, 2 ,3..' i was about to breathe to sing then the choir started singing birthday song to me.. wah.. so damn touched la.. thanks choir! =)
during lunch break, the altos ordered 4 large canadian pizza, the sops had a mac delivery and the guy also ordered pizza.. tt time we were really hungry so we desperately ran towards the aroma of the pizza.. haha

after choir prac, i went back with choirmates.. i tink tt time we were feeling rather high so we sang throughtout the journey.. from the bus stop to the bus interchange...haha.. so if u c a large group of people singing while crossing the road.. u will probably see me in the grp.. wahaha..in the bus we sang realy loud accidentally9 i mean we are trained to sing loudly) but we tried to sing softly.. haha.. we provide free music for the passengers FOC leh.. otherwise they have to pay to listen to us singing in sentosa ok..haha

when i got back home, my parents surpirsed me by buying me a birthday cake.. its was shockin for me bacause my family do not the have the habit of celebrating.. so everytime i celebrated my special day with my frens instead. 6 years.. i didnt received a cake from my family and finally..a mango cake!

the changi beach is a very nice place.. very suitable for couples.. very dark and very few people there except for NSmen.. haha you can see planes flying above u.. at a very near distance and the moon..seems very near to you yet-so-far tt kind of feeling..haha..nevertheless, spending the time with your family there evokes a warm feeling.

today is Jeannette's birthday.. so HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU JEANNETTE! =)

supposedly there's a vunta outing at swensens.. but too bad it was cancelled due to ultra few response.. i was about to tell my ogl gare rern tt i can go liao after begging my parents and promised them tt i would be back at 6 to join the dinner... however, i received his msg tt it was cancelled. haiz.. but nvm, gare rern, organise more k?haha

2 more days to my birthday! guess i'll spend my entire day in school.. i'll be having phy lesson and later choir session till 6pm..1st time spend my brithday in school.. i mean my birthday falls on holidays.. initially wana meet my buddy patricia out but cant make it. but nvm, i will visit her someday when both of us are free.

at 1st i'm meeting only sock ping since i didnt meet her fir a long time.. i kinda miss her..wahaha.. wonder if she will read my post or not.. then after tt we tagged in alec and haminah to join our study group.
ard 1045hrs, i was about to go out then this sp suddenly told me tt they 3 are going to to be late. thank god i didnt leave the hse at tt time otherwise i'll be waiting for them for like half an hour. i waited till 11.15am then i leave the hse.. and alec was the 1st to reach.. hahaha.

we settled our lunch at the kopitam food court.. and i saw my choir senior junjie there.. haha.. we took neoprints and the pics are ugly! not worth it.. haha
after tt we went to the lib and study... i guessed only we 3 studied... alec was SLEEPING.. sp was studying her econs while listening to music.. haminah was studying while offering us her chocolates when she claimed tt she's on diet! as for me.. i was doing maths and econs.. i tink i'm dead man.. i cant figure out econs!!! simple terms like opportunity cost and the freaking PPC.. clueless.. i duno what to do.. i tink my mid yr gonna fail and geo.. ARGhhhh..fine. after a while sp's fren ivan came and joined us for a chatting session. aound 4 plus we went home after eatng LJS..

anyway i just received all the photos taken during the workshop.. the photos showed what did we do tt time.. should have taken more man..haha.. i will post on it next time..now i'm lazy to do so.
later my dad's fetching my bro home from the camp.. wonder how my bro look when his hair is gone.. hmmm....

jus back from choir practice. damn tired... finally managed to learn all the songs for the concert on 26/8. nut seriously, i tink choir take too much of my time tt i dun hav much time to study.. perhaps i have poor time management or something. i duno.. but practice and sectionals r always tt long..

today ate Brunch with my sec school buddy laura at delifrance. NEVER ORDER BREAFAST AT DELIFRANCE. their meals r so pathetic. okay la, maybe because i dun eat eggs tts why the meals dont suit me. eventually i ordered Le Continetal..it consists of 3 kinds of bread..u can choose watever type of bread, a small cup of orange juice and a cup of tea. the bread are so small.. 3 is not enuf to fill ur stomach. i ordered chocolate crossiant for myself..yummy =). i tink i'm a bread-lover.. brunch i ate bread, in bet meals i ate bread and dinner i ate burger..so bread la..
ranking of carbohydrates:
1st choice: BREAD(wahaha)
2nd: pasta
3rd: noodles
4th: rice and lastly, porridge..never give me tt.. i hate it.

jus now went to take a look at my class blog.. it totally rox la.. it nice btw, silvia. go and visit S11 blog if u hav the time.. look my D a r l i n k s for the blog. when i saw mr koh's tag on the tagboard, i was reminded conscientiously tt he's leaving real soon.. haiz.. i doubt no other gp teachers can be better than him la. but anyway, i hope when he can be one of the choir teacher-in-charge when he comes back next yr.. provided if he agree to do so..he used to be the choir teacher.. i tink if he's one of the in-charge i tink choir would be more lively.

yesterday went to orchard with my cousins.. its has been a long time since i went shopping.. shopping is my hobby.. and i get hooked on it once during the holidays last year.. rite after o levels.. staying at home jus makes mye feel uncomfortable. brought bracelet ,earrings, digestive chocolate bars from marks and spencer and char siew su from crystal jade. everytime i go to orchard, i will definitely go to these places.. so u can spot me easily there if u happen to shop ard there..
1- Marks and Spencer, 2- Zara and 3- far east plaza.
oh ya, toking about Zara.. i met Feng Rui and his gf in Zara.. he was at the cashier counter.. tink he must be paying for his gf.. eh, i want a shirt from there.. buy for me leh =). at 1st didnt notice him until he called me twice then i responded. my cousins were kinda stunned when they saw him. you know y? my younger cousin said this,' is that ur fren? he's very handsome!' lolx.

on friday i met my sec frens for jogging.. but the weather was really bad to us.. it rained suddenly while we were jogging... then we had to run to the nearest shelter..however, the rain was getting heavier and we had no choice but to run to the other shelter which is linked to the coffeeshops... and the distance was around 1.6m.. stupid rain.. i want to run cos i didnt run after napha was over.. i have the urge to jog on the track again.. nvm.. there's always next time.

my bro is now in NS..wonder how he is.. i cant wait to c how he look like now..i bet must be damn ugly..haha he's coming out on 12 or13 to get his diploma cert..my family is tinking of having a family dinner with him..right now, my cousin is watching the world cup wth my dad now.. looks like he's going to eat and eat and eat throughout the nite.

this morning went to school and bought the geo textbk from ms tan.. after tt went to study before going back..cant study at home cause my mum was nagging alll day long.. so i decided to go back at a later time when she's working.. i went to the 3rd storey since the concourse was damn noisy.. and i saw nicholas! he's my classmate during PAE.. but now he's in S26. but anyway he was sitting alone so i approached him. and we chatted until it was time for him to go.we hav nev talk for a long time.. perhaps the last time was the last day of PAE.. this guy was damn interesting.. he can climb the pipes and got scolded by the cleaning aunties.. he crawled thru the drain to escape from the securtiy guards and eventually he got some rashes on his body. incredible eh?

anyway yesterday the workshop was fun.the lst day was broing so a few of my classmates and i went to BPP and ate our lunch.. after tt the guys went for pool while me and kai ee went to lot1 to watch da vinci code. but eventually, we were late by 30mins.. oh well. so kai ee pei me shop shop for my fren's birthday gift. heard tt 1st day my frens were very emotional and they began to cry. but my class ppl didnt cry..they treated it as a joke la.

the 2nd day, i joined jonathan and jun ming for breakfast. initially i didnt want to go cos my fren told me tt the 2nd day gonna hav a bigger activity and perhaps make one cry even more.. 2ndly i was having a bad headache. however, my dad forced me to go after learning tt i skipped the workshop and went out after tt.. anyway shouldnt hav tell my parents.. honesty isnt the best policy afterall. but i'm quite glad tt i went for the workshop.

the 1st activity was trust fall. at 1st when i saw the facilitators demonstrating how it works.. it kinda freaked me out.. cause it seems scary.u gotta stand so high(ok la, its only 5 chairs but my legs are wobbling), and fall bakcwards..dun u tink its scary? i jus try it out although my heart was beating very fast. i chose to be blindfolded.. then i went up the chair n waited for the cradle to be formed.
'cradle ready?' i asked,
'cradle ready!' they shouted back.
'i'm karen and i'm ready to fall'
'fall!'
bom! and i fell into the hands of my frens.. at 1st i was alittle amazed with myself tt i managed to fall.. haha after a while i felt comfortable.. really very comfortable.. haha.. i feel as if i was lying on a waterbed la.. but then later someone didnt support my neck so i felt alittle uncomfortable and the person who was holding my butt was shaking a little.. i tt heavy meh?

the 2nd activity was tiring but it really bonded us alot.. its a web game and we were supposed to cross over the web without touching the web and crawling below the web.. so the guys had a hard time carrying each other.. they were extremely tired.. u can see from their faces.. but they persevered all the way.. although we got only 1 person to the 'goal', wat most impt is our 'chin chai' bond. in chin chai, we made new frens from S24 and our facilitators. they rox =)

after the whole game, we had mass dance and fun dance!!! de orientation spirit is back again!so fun! lastly we had a sharing session with everyone..we sat in a circle and told each other our feelings abt the workshop. our facilitators broke down into tears.. when they were crying.. i suddenly saw myself in them.. when i was an ogl, i felt a sense of relief and a little upset.. relief because orientation was fnally over and a little upset cause i missed the orientation..its mixed feeling la..nevertheless our facilitators roxs.. they did a gd job =)

finally went home with our class ppl.. i was kinda blur when i dropped off from the bus stop.. the rest were worried for em so silvia called me.. but i noe how to go la! wahaha.. the surronding was very dark and seems very woolu.. but i just walked fast and took a train home.

last saturday has a choir practice with wild empire. wild empire is set up by my conductress whereby only those gd singers she managed to find will be in the part of this choir. i hope to be part of that choir after i graduated.. this wild empire is really strong.. definielty many times better than PJ...but Pj aint tt bad la..haha.. we gotten a silver for last yr's SYF.. maybe a gold next yr?

we spent ard 3 hrs at bible hse to practice. yep, manage to c some familar faces thee.. cos i once sang with wild empire during the concert at NUS. but not all i knew.. feel kinda stressed if i paired u with some1 from wild empire. cos they can easily capture ur mistakes.. so dun really dare to sing loud like how i sang during practice. ya, but i noe its gd to let ppl recongise ur mistake and edit it asap.
the building was somewhat spooky or rather my frens made it looked real spooky. we were taing the lift. then somewhat it stopped at every storey. then yongqi and teng was screaming.. and teng was hiding behind me. somehow it their screams tt freaked us off. but i dun really care la. when it opened for the 3rd level, i jus walked out la.. but my frens quickly oulled me back cos the rm was aat lvl 4... then my frens began to scream again.. but i tink its the sops who played a prank on us.. haha.. so when we finally reached the 4th floor, the guys outside laughed their heads off. i bet they heard my frens' screaming.. maybe they tot the enite gals in the lift screamed. so paiseh la.

today woke up at 7am to get ready for mr kow's lesson. after his lesson, bi wei and her gp let us try out their new products-- herbs with cookies/ chocolates.. i tink the best one is the wolfberries in chocolate.. tt one tasted like those normal raisins..very interesting though.

after tt i had sectionals at 11am until 1pm.. i rushed to mr kow for consultation with martin. then i rushed back to the canteen for lunch. while i was happily eating my chicken rice, i felt thirsty so i went to the drinks stall and bought the honeydew soya drink.. meanwhile i met josiah.. he was unaware tt there's phys lessosn today. after tt i headed back to my seat and realised tt... the freaking BIRDS were eating my chicken rice! there IDIOTIC CROWS THREW MY CHICKEN ON THE FLOOR AND THEY WERE ENJOYING MY FOOD! i was jus eating 1/4 of my rice.. i was so fed up tt i chased them away. u maybe wondering where r my frens who were supposed to take care of my food. they went to the toilet.. oh well.
then we had combined choir practice at 2pm to 6pm. long, tiring.. but we learnt somenew songs. yep, all the way choir.

k, nothing much...tmr's there's some dummy leadership camp. today ms toh asked me if i wana go obs since some1 from hockey backed out... however, its such a short notice..so didnt wana go eventually. otherwise i will go since i;ve nev went for obs b4.

yesterday damn sian.. 8am had phy geo lecture.. after that we went for our phys tutorial.. mr kow tot that girls can hold their hunger quite wel.. but he was wrong! i myself cant tolerate my stomach grumbling la.. other girls were also complainging tt they are hungry and tired. mr kow finally let us off at 11am. finally i can get some bite.

11.30am was human geo lecture.. majority of my class skipped tthis lect cos they wana play pool 1st.. haha.. so the rest of us went for the lect.. i didnt jin them after the lect cos i had choir practice after that and the the venue was at clementi.. which was too far for me.. to fro takes me about 80 mins. u count urself.

during the choir practice i was quite depressed..1stly there was a restructuring of altos and sops.. some A1s were moved to sop2.. so eventually, there are more sops than altos now... but tts not the point. its like most of my frens left to sops.. now we may not have the time to even tok and i missed those good old times we had.. haiz.. it used to be only joanna and peizhen only.. they are really my buddies.. then now.. teng.. my damn close mate.. has jumped to sop2.. my ex-SL, Jane too.. really missed her alot although we still c each other during choir practice..she still come and help the altos alot. thanks jane =). suddenly the used-to-be noisy section altos, has resulted to a deserted section.. where only 17 members left.. but we will stand united and be as 1 voice =).

2ndly, all my seniors had left..its one part of the body of choir is gone or something.. all of us missed them lots. especially ameila, and siying.. used to crap with them.. now..gone. but anyways, good luck for ur a lvls!

lastly, i'm no longer a mezzo.. which means i may not hav a chance to sing slightly higher notes.. which may be one of my difficulties.. i prefer a mixed variety.. and sometimes when singing the alto part i'm practically using my speaking voice. sometimes its too low for me.. or maybe my voice is not well-trained yet. but anyway i'm still in alto so i shld be quite satisfied with it =). ya, choir has become part of my life such tt it affects my mood greatly.. go altos !=)
